The pay is good. I’ve done four and a half years out on site and during that time, because of my flexible roster, I spent five months travelling the country and overseas. I do two weeks on and one week off.
Running a workshop is different – it’s a challenge. You get to see the other side of the working and dealings of Hastings Deering. I’m exposed to a good diversity of experience because I try to work things out myself before asking for help.
